EKG Technician Certification in Georgia

Before you can get an EKG tech certification, you have to pass an exam.

To do this, you have to first send in some documents.

The papers need to include the diploma you got when you finished the training program.

You can also send in official school transcripts.

If you haven’t attended a training program, you need 1 year of work experience in the past 3 years.

Another requirement is completing 10 EKGs.

The tests you have to pass are:

  • ASPT – Electrocardiograph (EKG) Technician exam
  • NHA Certified EKG Technician exam
  • ASET

After you pass the tests, you will be issued a national EKG tech certification.

The national EKG tech certification also needs renewal so you can keep working.

To get it renewed, you will need to attend some additional hours of education.
