Lincoln Land Community College boasts a phlebotomy program whose students must be willing to pay $2,250 in tuition in order to attend classes.

The education at this college is divided into two semesters, meaning that during the first semester, students must achieve six credit hours by attending the course named “Principles and Practice of Phlebotomy”, while the second semester is a three-credit-hour course named “Phlebotomy Practicum”.

The admission is only available to students who have a high school diploma or GED, pass a satisfactory interview with MLT faculty, and can submit a current and complete physical examination record.

There are admission criteria for this program as well:

• They must have either a high school diploma or a GED,
• Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 2.0,

At Rend Lake College, you can enroll in a 16-credit-hour phlebotomy program, and some of the topics that future students must learn are healthcare terminology, introduction to phlebotomy, phlebotomy practicum, and introduction to psychology.

The program can be finished in one semester time and it consists of classroom learning, laboratory, and clinical experience.

The whole program is divided into two courses – PHB 101 and PHB 102.

To be able to graduate, you must complete both courses with a grade of “C” or better.

Students are required to complete General Education requirements before the phlebotomy portion.

After the studies are over, students will receive a Certificate of Completion.
