The America School of Nursing & Allied Health has an eight-week-long phlebotomy program,  which is available only to eligible individuals.

Interested applicants for this phlebotomy program have to be ready to pay the cost of the program, which is $950 with books and materials included.

Classes are offered at 7 pm – 9:45 pm or from 9 am – 2 pm.

Northern Virginia Community College has set rules when enrollment is in question.

This means that the only way to enroll in this program is to attend a phlebotomy information session, have a NOVA application on file, have a high school diploma or GED, complete or qualify for ENG 111, and have a minimum GPA of 2.0.

The first one can be completed in 3-4 months after finishing 90 hours of didactic training and 125 hours of practical training, while the latter is designed for those who have already practiced phlebotomy.

This Phlebotomy Program is a demanding 195-hour program, which is available to applicants who are prepared to complete a PPD, criminal background check, urine drug screen, MMR Titer, and Varicella Titer.

Southwest Virginia Community College’s program is twelve credit hours one which can be completed in two semesters.

Tidewater Community College boasts a twelve-credit-hour phlebotomy program, which makes students eligible to sit for the national certification examination or look for entry-level employment.

At Virginia Highlands Community College, Phlebotomy Program classes are held on Wednesdays and Thursdays, and students need to finish 48 hours of training in the classroom and laboratory as the first part of their training.

The second part is a 100-hour externship.

This college offers a 16-credit program during which students will be taught medical terminology, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, phlebotomy, and many other important subjects necessary to become great phlebotomists.
